Episode 10: Women! Equality! Suffrage! Progress? Season Ender!

We’re back! Episode 10! Season Ender! Women’s rights history, where we’ve been, where we are, and where we are headed! MC Variety Hour Coast to Coast!

13This week we ended Season 1 with episode 10! Ohio, known for its lovely winter weather means that Miles & Crawford will have a harder time reaching each other to podcast so we are ending our season with the first attempt at MC Variety hour, Coast to Coast! This also enables us to record episodes more often as we are hoping to bring you a new episode on a weekly basis with this awesome new way of recording. We still have some kinks to work out with sound but we think this is going to be an awesome way to bring you regular content more frequently. That’s right! Exciting things are happening!

So what did we talk about in this episode? Well we’ve touched on Women’s rights here and there and our own history, we’ve talked about the Women’s March in January 2017 a few times, and of course ranted about women’s health issues that are always in the news, because you know, they need to be policed, policied, controlled and ruled over by the government.

This episode starts us off on a several part series on the Women’s Movement for equality.  Each episode will examine a different decade or generation of women and how they have advanced or pushed back against the status quo, culminating in where we are today versus where we were around 1900, and where are we headed in the future? This episode focused on securing the vote, equal pay, home roles, the mental load, and trying to break into male-dominated fields.

Join us as the weather turns a bit chilly as we explore our own history and talk about how we are shaping future generations, breaking barriers, securing basic human rights and equality.

As always, Thank you so much for listening, reading,  or supporting us, in general, it’s greatly appreciated! We hope you enjoy listening and join in on the conversation!

On this Labor Day I have a lot going on and a lot to say but for now I want you to SAVE DACA!

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals

This program was founded by President Obama in 2012 and there is no reason to end it. The program has helped many children who have started here in their youth; most without knowing they were not U.S. Citizens; stay here on a program. This is not about children crawling under bridges to pass drugs from one cartel to another, this is not about some wall that never needs built, this is not about terrorism. This program is to allow CHILDREN to keep their livelihood, their education, their hopes and dreams alive in America.

There is no reason whatsoever to end this program. This is systematic way for Trump to erase everything Obama put forth. This is not erasing history, this is erasing our future.
